UNICEF THAILAND launched a new fundraising campaign, appealing to the Thai public to support vulnerable children facing challenges including drought, hunger, and exclusion from education. Long-standing Friends of UNICEF, Peck Palitchoke and BamBam Kunpimook have been joined by popular actors Ann Thongprasom and Mario Maurer as official Campaign Champions.

Each proudly wore the PROMISE ring, a symbol of their resolve to protect children.
The PROMISE Ring has become famous around the world, particularly in South Korea, where it has been adopted by a range of K-Pop superstars. As part of UNICEF’s campaign, it is now available as a gift to UNICEF supporters across Thailand who donate on a monthly basis.
"Mario Maurer"
wore the world-famous PROMISE ring as Campaign Champions.
Since UNICEF launched its first fundraising appeal in 1996, generous individuals from across Thailand have increasingly stepped up to support UNICEF’s work to reach disadvantaged children within Thailand, as well as around the world. Infused with meaningful design, the primary shape of the PROMISE ring was inspired by the safety pins used by pregnant women.
It is therefore a symbol of protection for both mother and child. As both ends of the pin curve in to form the ring, they form an embrace, symbolizing the wearers’ protection of children suffering from terrible crises around the world.
Peck Palitchoke: said:
“I have been a Friend of UNICEF for many years, and know that there are still many children that need our support because they are facing natural disasters, conflicts, climate crisis and poverty. This ring symbolises my promise to help and protect children around the world,”
BamBam Kunpimook, Friend of UNICEF said:
“This ring symbolises my own promise to stand beside and support every child with my full commitment. I hope to pass on this message and for many others to join us in putting children first - because when millions of people work together, we can truly make a difference in young lives.”
Donating and wearing a PROMISE ring means that givers become a core part of UNICEF’s mission to better the lives of children in Thailand and save children’s lives around the world.
“The urgency of our era demands united action that puts the well-being of children first, particularly those most marginalized – caught in conflicts, grappling with climate change's severe impacts, or bearing the brunt of stark inequalities. By investing in children, we plant the seeds for a safer, brighter future, cultivating resilience, equality, and boundless potential. With UNICEF's proven effectiveness, on-ground presence, and global reach, we are confident that this campaign will provide lasting support to children in need, and drive substantial change. I encourage the Thai public to join with the "For Every Child, a PROMISE" Campaign, sending a message of compassion that transcends borders and stands in solidarity with the children of the world”, said Neal Kennard, UNICEF Thailand Chief of Private Sector Fundraising.
